"BETTER THAN ORGANIC"
EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL
Good Things & Rebellious Spirits

Our communities serendipitously came together almost 20 years ago in the spirit of
"philoxenia"
…. the Greek tradition of hospitality rooted in kindness, generosity and reciprocity.
A merry band of friends who share a philosophy of giving what we have and accepting what is offered,
celebrating time-honored foodways and preserving good things for future generations.
Not just an exchange between friends—this is also our pact with Mother Nature.
In the foothills of Mt. Taygetos, near the village of Mistra outside Sparta, Mr. Eugene Ladopoulos and family produce small quantities of cold-pressed oil from estate-grown wild olive stock farmed using traditional methods with few human intervention.
Rain-fed and naturally fertilized by local fauna, their ancient trees thrive in a rich biodiversity
which imparts a unique profile to the oil with each harvest season.
Unconventional for our times, but oh! so right.
The unfiltered oil is stored on the estate, each bottle is filled to order, individually numbered and marked with the harvest year and lot.
That’s not slick copy…that’s truth. Your bottle was bottled for you!
The result is zero waste and the freshest extra-virgin olive oil you can buy in the U.S.
Who does that?!
Eugene does that.
“You must always be a rebel in the kitchen”... he once famously said to us.
The same spirit applies to his orchards and oil.
Join us in our delightful rebellion and share in good things.
